Customer service is a very high priority for the Jackson’s business and has been for 3 generations. They are not just repairing a customers car, they are taking care of them and their family who have to ride in that car. Jackson’s guarantees their craftmanship and paint work for as long as a customer owns their car and will address any issues that may come up in the future. If a customer needs to be picked up or dropped off at home or work, Carol is happy to give you a lift. Jackson’s also has 2 loaner cars available for no charge to customers.
Jackson’s Body Shop helps coach clients through the repair process from the time you walk in the door after an accident to the time your car is completed and ready for pick up. We help you navigate the claim process with your insurance company or the claimant company, part choices, repairs and arrange rental cars. We use estimating programs that use your cars vehicle identification number (VIN) to select the proper repairs and parts for your specific vehicle. If your cars frame has been damaged, we have 2 frame racks with computerized laser and sonar measuring systems to repair them. Painting is done in our 2 downdraft heated paint booths. Paint for each car is individually mixed to insure a paint match for your car.
Local business partners include Wiltse’s Towing for tow services, Hillyer’s Tire and Wheel for tires, suspension and alignments, and Brooks Automotive and local dealerships for mechanical repairs.
Let us help you keep your family safe today and in the future. As a courtesy service, anyone can stop by our shop and we will check all you cars exterior lights for free and replace ones that are out. This includes headlamps, taillights, turn signals, back up light and license plate lights. Some headlamp bulbs may be excluded from the free offer.
Jackson’s Body Shop, Inc. is a third generation family owned business. It is currently owned by Jerry Jackson and Larry Jackson who are cousins. It was opened in October 1958 by their grandfather Glenn Jackson and his sons Walter and Roger.
For many years Walter did the body work and Roger did the paint work. The original building had 5 stalls and a counter for an office. In the late 60’s a 4 stall concrete block building was added on.
In 1987 when Silverton road was widened, the original building was torn down and a new office and shop were built. In 1998 Jerry and Larry bought the company from their fathers.

Larry started working at the business while in high school. He started with prepping and sanding and then moved into doing the body repairs. He learned to do body work by watching others and going to training classes. About 1990 he moved into the office to learn estimate writing, parts ordering, working with insurance companies and running the business. Larry’s son Tyler, 4th generation, now works in the shop doing body work and clean up. Larry is active in the Salem Chamber of Commerce and the Keizer Chamber of Commerce.
Jerry started working at the business around 1975 after school and on holidays prepping parts and cleaning the shop. After graduating from high school he went to Chemeketa Community College and got his Social Science degree in Automotive Technology. He then began working full time as the painter. About 1990 he moved into the office to begin learning how to write estimates, order parts, work with insurance companies and run the business. Jerry is a past president and board member of the Salem chapter of Automotive Service Association.
Carol is married to Jerry and has worked in the office since 1997. She does the bookkeeping and payroll, drives customers who need rides and picks up parts when needed. She is a member of the SalemPROs, a business networking group.
